Trust-Based Care at School

A unique opportunity for schools and families!

Partnering with selected teachers, students and parents in your district, a TBRI®-trained team will conduct an immersive, on-site morning or after school learning and activity program, designed to:

  • Bring trauma education and evidence-based response skills simultaneously to teachers and parents of at-risk, special-needs children
  • Teach special-needs children to self-regulate, communicate and form trust in caring adults through therapeutic, sensory-rich play
  • Greatly reduce the frequency and severity of behaviors that strain classrooms and escalate disciplinary action
  • Create continuity through shared language and response strategies from school to home and back again
  • Equip teachers, coaches and other school staff members to become valuable, long-term resources to any vulnerable student
  • Provide a comprehensive framework to develop and enhance district-wide trauma-response policies

This program utilizes the TBRI® Caregiver and Camp Training programs, and is modeled on the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development’s Hope Connection Camp. Learn more about Hope Connection and the ground-breaking research it has generated, here!

The HALO Project is another excellent resource based on the Hope Connection Camp program, that is currently provided to adoptive families in Allentown and Harleysville, PA through the Salvation Army Children’s Services in partnership with HALO Project, OK. Amy is proud to be a HALO Trauma Education Clinician. Learn more about the HALO Project here!
